Pakistan Super League franchise Quetta Gladiators set a new record by scoring the highest total in PSL history.
Quetta Gladiators piled on runs against defending champions Islamabad United at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, creating the highest total in the history of the Pakistan Super League.
Led by Saud Shakeel, the Gladiators scored 263 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs against Islamabad United.
Quetta Gladiators’ Riley Russo and Hassan Nawaz scored brilliant centuries and scored 104 and 100 runs respectively.
Quetta’s 263 runs is the highest score by any team in PSL history.
This record was previously held by Multan Sultans, who scored 262 runs against Quetta Gladiators at the same ground in 2023.

Challenging a target of 264 runs, Islamabad United were bundled out for 154 runs in 19.3 overs, winning by 109 runs.
Before the match, the national anthem of Pakistan was played in the stadium and a minute’s silence was observed in memory of those martyred in the Indian attacks.
