Kolkata: Ryan Pragg became the first cricketer to hit six consecutive sixes in the IPL.
He achieved this feat while playing for Rajasthan Royals against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.
On the first ball of the 13th over, Shimron Hetmyer took a single off Moeen Ali’s bowling to strike Pragg, who hit sixes over long-on and square leg boundary on the next four balls.
Moeen bowled a wide to avoid another six but it was no use as Pragg hit a six over long-off on the next ball.
On the first ball of the next over, Hetmyer took a single and then struck Pragg, who hit a six off a reverse sweep off Varun Chakravarthy to make it six sixes in his six legal balls. His team Rajasthan Royals lost the match by one run.
